Rick Bowman

Head of Platform

Rick Bowman (he/him) is currently the Head of Platform for Capital One Investing, a wealth management hybrid advisory platform. Prior to this role, Rick was the Chief Executive Officer of Shiftgig, a leading platform connecting businesses with the on-demand workforce. Shiftgig was named Innovator of the Year in 2017 by the HR Dive and was included on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 list, Prior to that, he served as the Chief Software Office for Morningstar working with teams across the global software development organization to build agility and modern practices. Rick also worked as the Senior Vice President of Engineering for HelloWallet, a SaaS solution helping organizations align their total rewards spending with the needs of their human capital. HelloWallet won a Webby Award for the Best Financial Services/Banking Website category, a W3 Awards for Best Financial Services Website, and a Best In Biz Award for Enterprise Software Product of The Year. Rick also served Federal government clients as a Specialist Leader a Deloitte, and is a published author. He was honored by Crain’s as a Notable LGBTQ Executive in the 2018 and 2019 editions.

Leah Chaney

Chief Experience Officer

Leah Chaney (she/her) is a thought leader and pioneer in the customer experience space. For over two decades, she has successfully grown and scaled companies while ensuring customers stay at the heart of the business and the focus of every step of the Customer Journey. As the founder and Chief Experience Officer of her consulting firm, BetterGrowth, she has coached start-up founders, Fortune 50-500 companies, and C-level executives on how to leverage the voice of the customer to increase brand awareness and ROI. Leah is a fierce advocate for diversity in tech and has helped companies build their diversity, equity and inclusion framework, recruiting practices, and training programs for underrepresented population, especially within the LGBTQIA community.

 

Leah currently resides in rural South Carolina with her wife and 18-month old daughter.

Oscar Delgadillo

Senior Software Engineer

Oscar Delgadillo (he/him) is a Senior Software Engineer for Mastery Logistics Systems. As an engineer in the supply chain management space, he loves the challenges the field provides. Outside of work, he enjoys the challenges of community building and providing inclusive and safe places for folks, especially those from marginalized communities.

 

Photography, origami, and more recently, collecting fountain pens round out just a few of many hobbies.

Suzie Dergham

Chief Executive Officer

Suzie Dergham (she/her) has built her career at the intersection of technology and the Museum sector. As Guru’s CEO, Suzie is focused on evolving the platform to support museums and attractions by enhancing the Visitor experience. This includes launching multi-site projects with AR, VR, and gamification. She honed her skills while working as Senior Account & Operations Manager with a widely known audio tour company, where her portfolio included the Smithsonian, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. Helming all on-site staffed operations in the United States, Suzie trained multiple museum staff operations to deliver exceptional service and the ultimate visitor experience. Suzie is part of the LGBTQIA+ community, and a mom of twin toddlers so multitasking is a must and is the reason why she is so darned good at her job.

Jameson Dixon Jr.

University Recruiter

Jameson Dixon Jr. (he/him) is an HR professional, diversity recruitment consultant, career advisor, and advocate for policy change in education and workforce development. As a Career Advisor, Jameson has advised students from across the country and led numerous workshops and events related to career development, leadership development, and inclusive recruitment. As a consultant, he has worked with multiple organizations to diversify their talent pipelines and change the way we approach the way we work. As a strong advocate for new labor standards and updated education policy, Jameson uses his experience to educate and support companies, students, and potential candidates. Jameson is an avid cyclist, a nature lover, and enjoys spending time with his large family; he is number 4 of 12 and resides in Chicago. 

Corey Flournoy

VP, People and Culture Development

Corey Flournoy (he/him) brings 30+ years of experience and recognized leadership in diversity and inclusion programming, strategy development, executive coaching and employee engagement for multi-national corporations, non-profits and educational institutions. 

 

Corey Flournoy is the VP of People and Culture Development, overseeing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Learning and Development at Aurora, the company delivering the benefits of self-driving technology safely, quickly, and broadly. In October of 2020, Corey was named as one of North America’s Most Influential D&I Leaders – 2020 by Hive Learning and included in PerformanceIN List of the The Top 50 Industry Players from 2020.

 

Since 1995, Corey has been a founding partner, consultant and trainer for Creative Outreach Consulting LLC. Corey is a Certified Professional Diversity Coach through CoachDiversity Institute, accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Currently, he is an adjunct faculty member at Northwestern University in the Master’s in Learning and Organizational Change program, teaching a course on leading global change.

Lucy Jane Mukerjee

Senior Programmer

Lucy Jane Mukerjee (she/her) is a queer British-Indian film curator and programming disruptor, working to elevate underestimated storytellers. Her area of expertise is at the intersection of activism and the arts, specifically where programming and inclusion meet.

Over her 20 year career, Lucy has produced and programmed films all over the world. Since 2018, she has been a Senior Programmer at the Tribeca Festival, where she is responsible for selecting the festival’s narrative and documentary feature films, and strategizing the organization’s LGBTQIA+ outreach.

Lucy is the Co-Founder of the Programmers Of Colour Collective, a professional development group of experience BIPOC film curators based around the globe, that aims to be a catalyst of transformative change for a more inclusive workforce of programmers. 

Kalin Noel

Senior Candidate Development Specialist

Kalin Noel (he/him) is a driven, result oriented recruitment and career development professional with over 6 years of experience in talent acquisition and higher education. He specializes in industries spanning from technology, and data and analytics, to finance, and business services. He currently serves as a Senior Candidate Development Specialist within Discover Financial Services and sits on the Board of Directors of the LGBT Nonprofit, Kiki Queens. Kalin is passionate about forging strong relationships with business partners and candidates while also creating inclusive spaces people want to be a part of. 

Lorraine Vargas Townsend

Chief People Officer

Lorraine Vargas Townsend (she/her) is an experienced coach and Chief People Officer with more than 20 years of experience as an HR executive. She is the CPO at ESO in Austin, Texas. She served on the board of directors at Babson College’s Executive Development Center and previously led HR at A Cloud Guru, Mendix, and athenahealth.

 

As queer, Latinx, and a daughter of an immigrant, her life’s mission is to develop people-first HR policies to go beyond tokenism and build an inclusive, anti-racist workplace.

 

She has been featured in Fast Company, the Wall Street Journal, and invited to speak on several podcasts about HR disruption and innovation and has been invited to keynote events such as the Women in Tech Festival, Silicon Valley Organization, Siemens Digital Summit, Sharp Heels Conference for Women in Business.

 

Because of her progressive HR practices, she has been recognized as a Female Health IT Leader to Know, and in 2019 was named one of the Leading Latinas by Hispanic Executive Magazine.

 

Lorraine lives in Austin with her wife, Cyn, and their daughter, Flo.
